The purpose of BrightStart™ is to equip you, as a parent, to help your child acquire language, while enhancing their emotional and physical wellbeing.  In addition to what you learn, we will provide meals and some material resources for your child, examples of theses resources are: age appropriate books, toys, and safety items. During the morning your infant to 7-year-old children will engage in educational play with a trained dedicated staff.

abc_shutterstock_57171436The 8-Week BrightStart™ will have a consistent structure each week while the topics change.  Running throughout each topic will be an emphasis on the ABCD's of Discipline.  A is for Attention, B is for Bonding, C is for Communication, and D is for Diet. The ABCD's are the building blocks every baby needs for healthy development. Parents will learn about brain development and how you can nurture your child's brain.   Loving Discipline training your child for success.  During this course you will learn how to increase your child's attention span, develop strong emotional attachments, and boost your child's verbal skills and physical health.  Everything about BrightStart™ is geared to help you prepare your baby for the brightest start possible!

About Babies

The vision of your baby develops primarily during infancy.  Many connections are made in the parts of the brain connected to the eyes when babies are very young.

Healthy Eating

Choose lean proteins and include beans, nuts and seeds in your meals. Prepare vegetarian meals at least twice a week. Use fish, eggs, beans and cheese as a low fat alternatives to meat.

Family Fun

Spruce Street Playgroup starts for the Spring in March.  It meets on Wednesday mornings from 9-10AM at the Eastside Neighborhood Resource Center.  Come with your preschooler for a morning of fun and learning.  Learn more...
