abc_shutterstock_57171436The 8-Week BrightStart™ Workshop will have a consistent structure each week while the topics change.  Running throughout each topic will be an emphasis on the ABCD's of Discipline.  A is for Attention, B is for Bonding, C is for Communication, and D is for Diet. The ABCD's are the building blocks every baby needs for healthy development. Parents will learn about brain development and how you can nurture your child's brain.   Learn how teaching limits with love equips your child for success.  During this course you will learn how to increase your child's attention span, develop strong emotional attachments, and boost your child's verbal skills and physical health.  Everything about BrightStart™ is geared to help you prepare your baby for the brightest start possible!

About Babies

A newborn baby has about 100 billion nerve cells in their brain, yet most of them are unconnected.  The brain continues to develop after birth at an astonishing pace as nerve cells get "wired" together.

Healthy Eating

Toddler and preschoolers portion size: 1 tablespoon of each food type per year of age.  About 10 % of infants and toddlers weigh too much for their length.

Family Fun

The Imagination Playground runs on most Saturday mornings at the Neighborhood Resource Center at 153 Spruce Street in Manchester.  Watch for the signs outside to know when it is open!
